Transportation

Brightview Academy provides transportation to and from the elementary schools in the area and for scheduled field trips. It is very important that parents of the school age children are aware of their responsibility to immediately notify the center when there is a change in their child’s daily transportation schedule. The staff member driving the center bus is not allowed to leave children unattended at any time and cannot search for a child who is not at the designated pick up location.

Our buses are designed to transport a limited number of children with safety belts for each child. The bus is equipped with a fire extinguisher, flares, and a first aid kit. A transportation check list is used for head count each time the child enters or exits the bus. Each child’s medical record, name, address, phone number, and emergency numbers are on record in the bus with the staff person in charge. Our vehicle is routinely inspected to insure proper maintenance. The vehicle is inspected daily before they are driven. All staff members who are qualified to drive the bus have the proper license, a clean driving record, tested in road safety and have training in CPR and first aid.
